皇冠体育app Department for Transport is seeking feedback on proposed changes to the .
皇冠体育app allows local highways authorities in England and Wales to establish street works permit schemes. 皇冠体育appse schemes enable local authorities to specify that those wanting to undertake work on an authority鈥檚 road must obtain a permit. As part of the , there is a plan to remove the requirement for the Secretary of State for Transport to approve schemes in England. In future they will be approved by a council鈥檚 own order. Schemes in Wales will still approved by the appropriate national authority. Regulations are being amended to take account of changes and to include updates on the way permit schemes come into effect.
