This year, the Taking Part survey included questions related to gambling and lotteries, including participation in National Lottery games and society lotteries.

Headline findings

  • 44% of adults had played a National Lottery game in the last 12 months
  • 15% of adults had played a society lottery in the last 12 months
  • 17% of adults had bet on sports in the last 12 months
  • 皇冠体育appre were differences in the likelihood of having played a National Lottery game with the demographic categories of age, ethnicity, region, gender, employment status, tenure and urban/rural status

A key difference between the Taking Part survey and the Gambling Commission鈥檚 report is the reference period used. 皇冠体育app Taking Part survey asks about activities within the last 12 months whereas the Gambling Commission asks only about the last 4 weeks.
