During week 23, there was a small increase in COVID-19-like emergency department (ED) attendances, although most other respiratory syndromic indicators remained stable at or below seasonally expected levels.
Remote health advice syndromic surveillance system
During week 23 NHS 111 online assessments for eye problems increased, in line with seasonal expectations. NHS 111 triaged calls and online assessments for both diarrhoea and vomiting decreased during week 23.

GP in-hours syndromic surveillance system
During week 23 GP consultation rates for gastroenteritis and vomiting decreased but remained above seasonally expected levels.

GP out-of-hours syndromic surveillance system
During week 23 GP out-of-hours contacts for gastroenteritis, diarrhoea and vomiting all decreased although they remained above baseline levels.

During week 23 there was a very small increase in COVID-19-like ED attendances but all other respiratory syndromic indicators remained either stable or decreased. ED attendances for gastroenteritis decreased during week 23.
