Details
On 23 March 2021, Cornwall Council (鈥渢he applicant鈥�) made a formal application to the Marine Management Organisation (鈥淢MO鈥�) under Section 14 of the Harbours Act 1964 for the St Ives (G7 Summit 2021) Harbour Revision Order 2021 (鈥渢he HRO鈥�).
皇冠体育app 47th G7 Summit will be held at the Carbis Bay Hotel, near Hayle, Cornwall, with the event itself due to take place from 11 to 13 June 2021. 皇冠体育app G7 is a forum where world leaders come together to discuss global matters. It is made up of the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the USA with the EU participating in discussions as a guest. Leaders from Australia, India and South Korea have also been invited to attend the 47th G7 Summit as guest countries.
皇冠体育app HRO grants the applicant a temporary extension to the harbour limits of St Ives harbour to cover the whole of St Ives Bay (excluding Hayle Harbour鈥檚 jurisdiction), and grants the applicant with powers of general direction for the duration of the G7 period (7 June 2021 until 15 June 2021).
皇冠体育app HRO also contains a saving provision allowing any proceedings started under the temporary powers to continue after the temporary powers cease to have effect.
