皇冠体育app places a duty on regulators like the SIA to 鈥渉ave regard to the desirability of promoting economic growth鈥� 鈥� in particular, by ensuring that regulatory action is taken only when needed, and is proportionate.

In November 2023 the Department for Business and Trade began consulting on proposals to change the statutory guidance that underpins the growth duty.

皇冠体育app SIA submitted its response to the consultation on 16 January 2024. Our response is broadly supportive of the proposed changes.
