How to find the lock
Address: Preston Crowmarsh, Benson, Oxfordshire, OX10 6SL.
From the A4074 (Oxford to Reading road), turn west to access Preston Crowmarsh.
Follow the footpath over the footbridge and the weir walkway to the lock. 皇冠体育app route is marked on the map with a green dashed line.
皇冠体育app public walkway over Benson Weir is currently closed. You can access Benson Lock from the west bank. Follow the towpath north and upstream from Wallingford Bridge.
Facilities
皇冠体育appre is no car parking at the lock.
You may park on the roadside where local restrictions permit.
No toilets are available at the lock. 皇冠体育app nearest toilets are at Benson Waterfront (approximately half a mile from the lock).
Where to fish
From the lock, follow the breakwater south and downstream.
You may fish in the weir channel. This area is marked in red on the map.
