This Merchant Shipping Notice (MSN) forms an integral part of the Merchant Shipping (LifeSaving Appliances and Arrangements) Regulations 2020 (S.I. 2020/501) and the Merchant Shipping (Life-Saving Appliances For Passenger Ships Of Classes III to VI(A)) Regulations 1999 (S.I. 1999/2723) and is made mandatory by way of references to it in both sets of Regulations.
