This report presents the findings from qualitative research that explored employersâ€� retirement practices and views about the Default Retirement Age (DRA). »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp report is based on 54 interviews across 40 employers that had experience of retiring an employee, selected according to their size, industry, whether they had adopted a compulsory retirement age and whether they had used the statutory retirement process.

»Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp research covered employersâ€� views about employing older workers, recruitment, retention and promotion in relation to older workers and their processes for retiring employees. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp research also explored employer’s understanding and views about the DRA legislation, its impact on their organisation and whether it should be retained or abolished.
