On 13 April 2021, the Chichester Harbour Conservancy (鈥渢he applicant鈥�) made a formal application to the Marine Management Organisation (鈥渢he MMO鈥�) under Section 14 of the Harbours Act 1964 for the Chichester Harbour Revision Order (鈥渢he HRO鈥�).

皇冠体育app HRO provides modernised powers of management and control of the harbour to vest in the applicant including provisions relating to general and special powers of direction. 皇冠体育app HRO also extends the limits of the harbour to include the harbour premises and amend sections 3, 71, 72 and 82 of the Chichester Harbour Conservancy Act 1971.

皇冠体育app statutory 42-day public consultation on the HRO ran from 3 June 2021 to 14 July 2021.

皇冠体育app MMO approved the making of the HRO on 17 June 2025, details of the decision-making process can be viewed in the Harbour Revision Order and decision report attached to this page. 皇冠体育app HRO will be laid before parliament on 20 June 2025 and will come into force on 11 July 2025.
