Data protection

皇冠体育app IAA is the data controller in relation to any information received by it for the purposes of its functions under the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999. 皇冠体育app IAA is registered with the Information Commissioner under the terms of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018. 皇冠体育app IAA has regard to section 93 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999, which, among other things, prohibits the disclosure of information it receives except with lawful authority, including where disclosure is necessary in the public interest.

Section 93 of Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

皇冠体育app act sets out that IAA may not share personal information. Specifically, it says that:

No relevant person may at any time disclose information which

(a) has been obtained by, or given to, the Immigration Services Commissioner under or for the purposes of this Act (b) relates to an identified or identifiable individual or business, and (c) is not at that time, and has not previously been, available to the public from other sources

Unless the disclosure is made with lawful authority (s.93(2))
