Vote for your favourite crime fighting project

Public vote for the 2011 Tilley Awards went live today with the search for the most innovative crime fighting project.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

皇冠体育app search for the most innovative crime fighting project in England and Wales entered its final phase today as the public vote for the 2011 Tilley Awards went live.

Sixteen projects are in the running following a nationwide search over the summer.

皇冠体育app public vote will be hosted on the Home Office website and the winner will be announced in December.聽

Home Office minister of state for policing and criminal justice Nick Herbert said: 鈥樆使谔逵齛pp Tilley Awards are recognised across the world for highlighting the very best of British crime fighting and this year is no exception. Today鈥檚 finalists deserve to be proud to have made it through to the final round. 皇冠体育appy have beaten very tough competition.

鈥樆使谔逵齛ppse projects show that when police, councils, charities and the public work together they can make the real, positive changes local communities want to see.

鈥業 want the public to be as involved as possible in making a difference to how crime is tackled in their area feel empowered and engaged on these issues which is why this year we are opening the Tilley Awards to a public vote.鈥�

More than one hundred projects entered this year鈥檚 competition.
