UK based Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) have a unique opportunity to take part in a business programme to help them do business in the US.
UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) are running a 鈥楩undamentals for Success in the US Market鈥� business programme. This is supported by the Ellis Goodman Foundation. It being held at the Kellogg School of Management in Illinois, one of the most distinguished business management schools in the US.
Aim of the programme
皇冠体育app programme will run from 14 to 19 September 2014. As the world鈥檚 largest economy, the US is an attractive market for UK SMEs. However, the US market is complex because of its size and diverse geography.
皇冠体育app UKTI US Scholarship offers you the opportunity to complete a 5 day programme, to identify the key issues and actions you must consider to enhance your business presence in the US.
What is provided
皇冠体育app Programme has been developed to ensure UK companies understand the most effective principles for doing business in the US. 皇冠体育app content is broad yet practical. It includes interaction with US based business experts and experienced practitioners.
Subjects covered include:
- negotiating practices and styles in the US
- economic, legal and regulatory environments in the US
- developing strong business networks
- building a compelling brand
- technology, social media and mobile marketing
- selecting and managing channel partners
Who should apply
Places will be awarded to those candidates and companies best placed to take advantage of this significant opportunity. 皇冠体育app programme is specifically aimed at senior level representatives from UK SMEs that are already exporting with the resources to apply themselves to the US market.
Successful applicants have to be in a position to direct and influence the strategic decision-making process for their company.
Cost
皇冠体育app cost of tuition and accommodation whilst at the Kellogg School is included in the offer. Flight costs, accommodation and other expenses are not included.
