John Dennis (HMA) met a local NGO focused on women鈥檚 human rights and equality issues to discuss their work in helping to raise awareness of the most pressing concerns facing women in Angola today. 皇冠体育app Ambassador also signed a project contract with the 鈥淲omen鈥檚 Network鈥� that will assist their participation in New York for the 20th Anniversary of the to take forward the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, a commitment for advancing women鈥檚 rights. This contract of partnership is part of the social work that is being developed by the UK in Angola to raise awareness, promote, encourage about the women鈥檚 rights in Angola.

皇冠体育app Women鈥檚 Network Angola will establish a series of workshops for nearly 30 civil society organisation based in Angola to raise awareness of the Beijing declaration and platform and working closely with the Angolan Government will establish and assess the country鈥檚 compliancy and social development in women鈥檚 rights over the last 20 years and will be represented at the global forum to be held in New York in March 2015.
