Charg茅 d鈥橝ffaires Ben Wastnage of the British embassy in Lebanon congratulated the Lebanese Army on the successful Dawn of the Jourds operation and said:

I congratulate the Lebanese Army on the military success of the Fajr el Jouruod operation. This was a complex, dangerous, but successful operation whereby the Lebanese Army demonstrated yet again that it is the sole legitimate, effective and capable defender of Lebanese security.

I offer my sincere condolences for those Lebanese Army soldiers who were killed and injured in this operation, as well as to the families and friends of those soldiers who were abducted in 2014.
