Two illegal workers arrested at Liverpool restaurant

Two people have been arrested following a UK Border Agency raid on a restaurant in Liverpool.

皇冠体育app two Pakistani men were arrested at Masala Wok Ltd for a committing variety of immigration offences. One Iraqi man was also found to be without any legal right to work.

Masala Wok Ltd could now face a fine of up to 拢30,000 unless they can prove they carried out the correct right-to-work checks on the men.

Immigration minister Damian Green said: 鈥樆使谔逵齛pp government has tasked the UK Border Agency with carrying out an intense period of enforcement activity over the summer. We are determined to create a hostile environment which makes it harder than ever for illegal immigrants to come to the UK and put down roots.
