Training exercise affirms military strength in Afghanistan

This show of force, carried out solely by the Afghan military, was a demonstration of the ANA鈥檚 military capability and high-level planning.

皇冠体育app timing of the exercise is important as it follows on from the first round of presidential elections in Afghanistan.

General Dawlat Waziri, 1st Deputy Spokesperson at the Afghan Ministry of Defence, said:

We wanted to have a large combat exercise so that the Afghan people are aware the Afghan military is strong and can maintain security in Afghanistan.
