TRA defends 拢22 billion of UK trade

鈥淭his record of delivery is down to the hard work of our people,鈥� said Oliver Griffiths, the TRA鈥檚 Chief Executive. 鈥淲e have continued to build up the expertise and specialism required to achieve our vision of being a globally respected trade remedies body.鈥澛�

皇冠体育app TRA鈥檚 workforce has grown to around 140 staff, with an average tenure of 33 months, indicating the organisation鈥檚 commitment to developing a highly skilled and experienced team. This has been reflected in the annual staff survey, where 89% of employees expressed interest in their work, and 93% felt they had the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively.聽

Alongside its internal capabilities, the TRA has placed a strong emphasis on external engagement, hosting the TRA Forum and expanding its digital presence to ensure businesses are aware of its services and understand the UK鈥檚 trade remedies regime.聽聽

鈥淲e will be rolling out a new version of our digital Trade Remedies Service this coming year, which will provide a superior customer experience and increase our productivity,鈥� Griffiths explains. 鈥淲e are taking a root and branch look at how to improve our investigations process, so that we can move faster and more efficiently while maintaining quality.鈥� 皇冠体育app changes are building on solid foundations, with over two-thirds of stakeholders surveyed valuing the TRA for its rigour, fairness, and impartiality in investigations.聽

As the global trade landscape continues to evolve, the TRA is preparing for a busier future. With a rise in protectionist measures worldwide, increased use of subsidies, and a renewed focus on economic security, the TRA will be critical to defending the UK鈥檚 economic interests and keeping trade fair. 鈥�
