»Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp British Consulate-General held a Sport is GREAT reception on 15 January to welcome the Lionsâ€� senior management team.

»Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp British and Irish Lions will make history as they play their first ever match in Hong Kong against the Barbarians on 1 June. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp British Consulate-General held a “Sport is GREATâ€� reception on 15 January to welcome the Lionsâ€� senior management team, who were in Hong Kong as part of their preparations.
At the reception, British Consul General Caroline Wilson said:
2012 was a fantastic year for Sport in Britain. I can’t think of a better way to start 2013 than by welcoming representatives of this truly world class team. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp Lions team represents the best of the best from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. I am particularly pleased Irish Honorary Consul Harry O’Neill is here to share with me in wishing the team all the best for their historic tour.

, a team selected from the elite Rugby Union players from the four fiercest of rivals (England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales) join forces to go on Tour every four years. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýappy will play the first of 10 matches in Hong Kong and the remaining nine matches all around Australia, South Africa or New Zealand. On 1 June, they will be playing the legendary Barbarians; an extremely exciting match for the very large British, Irish, Australian and South African population in Hong Kong.
