Ten young film makers progressed to the second stage of the 鈥榃omen in the New Egypt鈥� film competition, organised by the British Embassy in Cairo, Misr International Films (Youssef Chahine) and the British Council. 皇冠体育app film makers began the process of realizing their five-minute creative films to showcase issues facing women in Egypt after the 2011 revolution at a three-day workshop in Dahshur. 皇冠体育app time was spent focusing on production skills and mentoring by famous Egyptian Director Mohamed Khan, teaching the film makers how to develop their ideas into film treatments.

Five individuals from the ten will be selected according to the quality of the film treatments they now produce. 皇冠体育appse five will be invited to create their five-minute films, helped along the way with further mentoring by movie industry experts. 皇冠体育app five films will be screened as part of Misr International Films鈥� Panorama European Film Festival held in Cairo in October. 皇冠体育app eventual winner will be awarded a week long fellowship at a prestigious film institute in London and the second and third runners-up will also receive prizes.
