SLC launches recruitment search to mark Scottish Apprenticeship Week
SLC is recruiting 12 new apprentices in Glasgow

To mark Scottish Apprenticeship Week (6-10 March), the Student Loans Company (SLC) has announced it is recruiting for 12 new apprentices.
Applications for the Student Finance Officer Apprenticeships (SFO) are now open and successful candidates will join the organisation鈥檚 Operations team in June. 皇冠体育app new roles will be based in Hillington, and applications are being encouraged from across the West of Scotland.
SLC supports students across the UK to invest in their futures and unlock their potential by administering loans and grants to students in universities and colleges across the UK. 皇冠体育app new SFO apprentices will be at the heart of this operation, supporting customers through their student finance journeys and helping to process around 2million applications each year.
皇冠体育app 15-month programme is being run in conjunction with education provider, Babington and apprentices will work towards their Business Administration qualification.

It鈥檚 a fantastic opportunity for people to get great experience with a large public sector organisation and achieve a recognised qualification at the same time.

SLC is committed to creating career opportunities through its Emerging Talent programme and currently has 68 apprentices working across all areas of the business including in its Operations, People and IT teams.

We are pleased that all the apprentices are on track to complete their Business and Administration SCQF Level 6 qualification and are receiving valuable support and guidance from their manager, Mark Stevenson.聽
鈥淥ur Business and Administration SCQF Level 6 apprenticeship is designed to equip young professionals with applicable knowledge and key skills allowing them to realise their potential, work confidently, and demonstrate competence in their role.
