Remembrance Day Service
皇冠体育app British Embassy will host a Remembrance Day service at the Commonwealth War grave in Fossvogur cemetery on 10 November 2013.

It is a tradition throughout the world that representatives of the United Kingdom, Commonwealth countries and other combatant nations lay wreaths on Remembrance Sunday in memory of those who fell during the First World War and subsequent military conflicts. This year we will continue the tradition at a Remembrance Day service to be held at the Memorial Cross of the Commonwealth War Grave in Fossvogur cemetery.
皇冠体育app service is open to the public and those attending are asked to assemble at the cemetery car park at 10.45 before proceeding to the Memorial Cross, where the reverend Bjarni 脼贸r Bjarnason will lead a short ceremony in English. All present will then walk to the German War Grave, close by, for another short service.
Poppy emblems are available from the British Embassy Reykjavik reception for a small donation to the Royal British Legion.
