Reappointment to the Joint Nature Conservation Committee
Judith Webb MBE has been reappointed as an independent member of the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC).

Judith Webb MBE has been reappointed as an independent member of the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC), by Richard Benyon, Natural Environment and Marine Minister.
JNCC is the public body that advises the UK Government and devolved administrations on UK-wide and international nature conservation.
皇冠体育app reappointment has been made in accordance with the Code issued by the聽Commissioner for Public Appointments.
皇冠体育app reappointment will run from 1 September 2011 for three years, and Ms Webb will receive a remuneration of 拢9,836 a year based on 2.5 days a month.
All appointments are made on merit and political activity plays no part in the selection process.聽 However, in accordance with the original Nolan recommendations, there is a requirement for appointees鈥� political activity (if declared) to be made public.聽 Judith Webb has not declared any political activity during the past five years.
Biography
Ms Webb also holds a number of other public appointments for which she receives remunerations:
- Cotswolds AONB Conservation Board - 拢240 a year.聽
- Forestry Commissioner for Wales -聽 拢11001 a year.聽
- Non-Executive Director of the National Forest Company - 拢3593 a year.聽
- Privy Council appointed Lay Member of Council of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, there is no fixed remuneration rate but a loss of earnings allowance of 拢300 per day.
Judith Webb is an experienced conservationist with strong expertise in the field of sustainable development. 聽She is an independent environmental consultant, specialising in woodland management, land use policy and conservation schemes.聽 She sits on the Cotswolds AONB Conservation Board, is a non-executive director of the National Forest Company and a non-executive Forestry Commissioner.聽 She also chaired the Rural Development Service during 2006 in the run up to its merger into Natural England.
