Baroness Nicholson's visit supports the growing trade relationship between the UK and Turkmenistan and explores opportunities for UK companies.
Prime Minister's trade envoy visiting 'Ruhubelent' tomato juice factory
皇冠体育app UK Prime Minister鈥檚 trade envoy, Baroness Nicholson, arrived in Ashgabat on 9 April for a 3 day visit. This was Lady Nicholson鈥檚 third visit to Turkmenistan.
Baroness Nicholson鈥檚 programme in Ashgabat included calls on senior Turkmen government officials and also visits to local food producers and a cattle farm.
皇冠体育app Prime Minister鈥檚 trade envoy also took the opportunity to visit the Mothercare shop, a British franchise, in Berkarar shopping centre and toured the Olympic Complex which is nearly ready for the fifth Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) in September this year.

Discussions during Baroness Nicholson鈥檚 meetings at the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Ministry of Economy and Development, Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources, Turkmengas State Concern and Ministry of Foreign Affairs were very wide-ranging.
皇冠体育appy focused on the growing trade relationship between the UK and Turkmenistan; developments and opportunities in Turkmenistan鈥檚 financial, banking, education, science, agriculture and energy sectors and support for ongoing reforms in Turkmenistan.

Baroness Nicholson visited the 鈥楬asar鈥� confectionary factory, 鈥楤ereketli鈥� sausage and meat processing factory, 鈥楽ahabatly鈥� farm and 鈥楻uhubelent鈥� tomato juice factory. During the visit she had the opportunity to learn more about private sector development in Turkmenistan and explore the areas that Turkmen and British businesses can further cooperate in the future.
