Photo exhibition in Italy: "A different kind of bravery"

皇冠体育app photo exhibition, titled 鈥淎 different kind of bravery: Thomas Ashby鈥檚 photographs of the British Red Cross in Italy during World War I鈥�, draws on the photographic works by Thomas Ashby, philanthropist and director of the British School at Rome during World War I, and aims to give greater visibility to the humanitarian cooperation between Italy and the United Kingdom at the time.
Twenty-five previously unpublished photographs show the activity that the British Red Cross carried out on the Italo-Austrian front, where Ashby, as a conscientious objector, operated as a volunteer for this humanitarian organisation.
