No Direct Airside Transit Visa required for Montenegrins travelling through the UK

From 1 December 2014, Montenegrin nationals will be able to transit airside through single UK airport without needing a Direct Airside Transit Visa (DATV).

皇冠体育app Home Office keeps its visa regime under regular review and makes changes when appropriate. 皇冠体育appre are currently a total of 113 countries that require UK visas. 皇冠体育app UK operates a transit visa regime which requires the nationals of 60 of these countries to hold a visa for both airside and landside transit through the UK (a 鈥榙irect airside transit visa鈥� for airside transit or as a 鈥榲isitor in transit visa鈥� for landside transit).

皇冠体育app Home Secretary has announced that from 1st December 2014, Montenegrin citizens will no longer require a Direct Airside Transit Visa when passing through a UK airport to another flight. This will only apply when the traveller does not pass through border control. For entry in the United Kingdom, Montenegrin nationals will continue to require the appropriate entry visa, meaning that if you are changing planes to a different airport in the UK, you will need to pass through border control and will need to obtain an appropriate visa before travelling.
