Foreign Secretary condemns terrorist bombing in Beirut

Foreign Secretary calls on all parties to work together in wake of Beirut bombing, and prevent extremists and terrorists undermining peace.

Commenting on this morning鈥檚 car bomb explosion in southern Beirut, Foreign Secretary William Hague said:

I condemn today鈥檚 explosion in southern Beirut. My thoughts are with those injured in the attack and their families.

I call on all Lebanese parties to work together to resist any efforts by extremists and terrorists to undermine Lebanon鈥檚 hard-won peace.
