As set out in a press release sent out after the visit, two British diplomats visited the Delta region on 27 and 28 November to improve the embassy鈥檚 understanding of the situation in the region and to explore how the UK could support development there. 皇冠体育app Egyptian government had full prior knowledge about the visit. 皇冠体育app British diplomats met the Governors of Monofiya and Sharqia, as well as local political parties, and political movements. 皇冠体育app Egyptian security forces provided a police escort throughout the entire visit. 皇冠体育app diplomats engaged extensively with the media during the visit, holding a press conference for local journalists, giving TV interviews and tweeting.
