During the evaluation process, individual bidders鈥 responses to the pre-qualification questionnaire were rigorously assessed.
This allowed DIO to establish their capability and capacity, which included quality assurance, technical, environmental management, health and safety, financial standing and equal opportunity and diversity criteria.
Jon Wooden, the frameworks project manager, said:
DIO鈥檚 top priority is to support our Armed Forces by providing what they need to live, work, train and deploy. Competition was strong and bidders faced a rigorous evaluation process to go forward to the tender stage.
皇冠体育app shortlisted bidders will now have one final opportunity to compete for the right to be included on our Scotland Capital Works Framework, and the chance to deliver future design and build projects across the defence estate in Scotland.
We positively encourage smaller suppliers and subcontractors to approach shortlisted bidders about their products and services by accessing the bidders directory online.
Shortlisted bidders will be invited to submit tenders in order to finalise the list of 4 or 5 companies for inclusion on the Scotland Capital Works Framework.
皇冠体育app contract is due to be awarded by summer 2014. It will run for an initial 4-year period, with the potential to extend for up to 3 years.
Tenderers will be evaluated on a range of commercial and technical matters, ranging from supply chain management to issues relating to the Government Construction Strategy.
皇冠体育appy will also be provided with an example of a construction project MOD may require to be delivered through the framework, and tenderers will also be evaluated on their approach to its delivery.
皇冠体育app shortlisted companies have been invited to attend a conference in Glasgow on 17 December 2013. This allows them to be briefed on the tendering process as well as on a range of MOD and other statutory requirements associated with capital works projects.
皇冠体育app NGEC framework procurement process offers an opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises to identify potential supply chain and subcontracting opportunities through the bidders directory.
