Companies House becomes a Chwarae Teg FairPlay Employer

We鈥檝e been awarded FairPlay Employer status by Wales鈥檚 leading gender equality charity, Chwarae Teg.

We鈥檝e had particular recognition for the number of women in our senior management team, for our flexible working policy and our commitment to continuing work to improve equality and diversity.

FairPlay Employers also receive ongoing support from Chwarae Teg to improve equality and diversity, tackle the gender pay gap and achieve the benefits of a truly balanced work force.

Recognising our achievements, Louise David said:

We are delighted to be able to present Companies House with the FairPlay Employer Silver award, in recognition of their work to improve gender equality and diversity in the workplace.

Women are very well represented on the Companies House Senior Management Team, and we were particularly impressed with their work around business diversity, working relationships, learning and development, and reward and recognition.

Flexible working, which is known to help women access and remain in employment, is available across the organisation with recognition that it should not matter at what time of the day work is done, so long as it achieves the core business purpose as efficiently as possible. 皇冠体育app concept of flexible working rests upon the principle that all staff have a responsibility individually for managing their time and productivity in the workplace. It also enables staff to fulfil their role in work whilst acknowledging their social and domestic commitments.

Chwarae Teg will now be providing ongoing support to Companies House to build on their success and continue to improve. A women鈥檚 network has been launched using the FairPlay Employer survey findings and action plan.

Work will be done to look at women working in digital and tech with a view to recruiting more women into IT roles, alongside further work to improve gender equality across the wider organisation.
