Chancellor announces first in-person Finance Ministers meeting of UK鈥檚 G7 Presidency
皇冠体育app Chancellor has today confirmed that Finance Ministers from across the G7 nations will meet at Lancaster House in London on 4-5 June.
Speaking at a Wall Street Journal event, the Chancellor confirmed plans for a major G7 Finance Track meeting ahead of the G7 Leaders鈥� Summit in Carbis Bay, Cornwall.
During the course of the UK鈥檚 G7 Presidency the Chancellor has hosted three virtual meetings with his global counterparts to discuss key international policy priorities. June鈥檚 meeting will seek to progress the Chancellor鈥檚 G7 priorities of building a green and inclusive global economic recovery, protecting jobs, and supporting vulnerable countries to recover from the COVID pandemic.
G7 Finance Ministers will be joined by the European Commission, Eurogroup, World Bank, IMF, and OECD for what will be the first in-person Finance Track meeting in over a year.
Ahead of this, the Chancellor will convene a virtual meeting of Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors on Friday 28 May 2021.
