British trade mission to visit Algiers
皇冠体育app largest British trade delegation for several years arrives in Algiers on 23 January. 皇冠体育app delegation will meet members of the Algerian business community & public officials to explore opportunities for partnership.

Made up of 32 businesspeople, delegates represent a variety of companies from multinationals to SMEs and cover sectors ranging from engineering, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, education, construction, energy & financial services. 皇冠体育app size of the mission and the number of sectors represented is a clear sign of the increased interest in the Algerian market from British companies.
Welcoming the mission, Martyn Roper, HM Ambassador said:
鈥溁使谔逵齛pp UK has a long trading history with Algeria. It鈥檚 a relationship that continues to grow with UK exports more than doubling over the past 5 years. A number of British companies like HSBC, BG, GSK & Unilever have made significant investments in Algeria in recent years, creating high quality jobs in the Algerian economy. But there is scope to do so much more. I鈥檓 confident that this mission will help to further develop co-operation between our two countries.鈥�
During their visit delegates will meet with members of the Algerian business community & public officials to explore opportunities for partnership. On 23 February, the British Ambassador hosted a reception at his Residence which brought together the trade mission and a range of key commercial and official contacts.
