皇冠体育app British High Commission in Lusaka is inviting talented Zambians wishing to study in the UK to apply for the UK鈥檚 Chevening Scholarships Programme which will open on 1 August 2014 for the academic year 2015-2016.
Approximately 1500 Awards will be offered worldwide in the 2015/16 academic year - triple the number the UK offered in 2014/15. This is a significant investment from the UK Government to develop the next generation of global leaders. Applications will close on 15 November 2014.

皇冠体育app Scholarships, which are funded by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations, operate in over 100 countries worldwide. 皇冠体育app Scholarships are prestigious awards aimed at extremely capable individuals who are motivated to pursue a career that will take them to a position of leadership within their own country or region. Awards are typically for a one-year Master鈥檚 degree, in any subject and at any UK university.

皇冠体育app UK Government is significantly increasing the number of places in its flagship global scholarship programme for the academic year 2015-16. Chevening Scholarships are aimed at future leaders, influencers and decision-makers who are working towards shaping their country鈥檚 development.

Chevening Scholarships are currently offered in approximately 110 countries, in most regions of the world. In the current academic year, there are over 700 Chevening scholars at universities across the UK.

In Zambia, Chevening Scholarships are administered by the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) on behalf of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO).

Applications for Chevening Scholarships for the academic year 2015/16 must be submitted online between 1 August and 15 November 2014 at www.chevening.org. Applicants should read the online guidance and be able to demonstrate how they meet the Chevening selection criteria before submitting an application.

Chevening and its predecessor schemes have been operating in Zambia since 1985 and over 150 Zambians have studied in the UK under the Chevening Scheme.
