British Embassy supports the agricultural community in Kosovo
Ambassador Cliff at agricultural fair encourages greater cooperation between farmers and institutions to improve rural livelihoods
皇冠体育app British Ambassador to Kosovo opened the Regional Agricultural Fair in South Mitrovica on 8 October 2014 . 皇冠体育app event brought together small farmers from across Kosovo enabling them to expand mutual cooperation and enhance communication between them and the local/central level institutions, as well as discussing production techniques and product marketing.
皇冠体育app event was organised by the Union of Farmer Association of Mitrovica, financially supported by the British Embassy, Municipalities of Mitrovica South, Vushtrri/Vu膷itrn and Skenderaj/Srbica.
British Ambassador, Ian Cliff, visited the farmers on their stands, discussing with them farming issues and how local institutions can support producers.
On this occasion, the Ambassador said:
Events like this are important for supporting farmers and enhancing their cooperation, but also enhancing cooperation and communication with producers across all communities.
