Ambassador Cliff opened an exhibition of paintings as part of the project 鈥淎rt Connecting People鈥�

On 11 October 2014 in Pristina, Ambassador Ian Cliff opened an exhibition of paintings put on as part of the project 鈥淎rt Connecting People鈥�, implemented by the Youth Center 鈥淧jeter Bogdani鈥�, supported by the British Embassy and designed to bring together young people from different communities across Kosovo and show the power of art to overcome barriers. 皇冠体育app pictures were also exhibited in Gracanica on 12 October.

皇冠体育app project brought together young people of different ethnic and religious backgrounds from Gjilan, Lipjan, Shtime, Gjakova, Mamusha, Dragash, Obiliq and Fushe Kosoves. Before producing the paintings, the participants attended a workshop in Pristina to learn about drawing techniques and visited various religious and cultural monuments.

Speaking at the event the Ambassador said:

I鈥檓 happy to see that a new generation in Kosovo have similar interests and are ready to work together. Language remains something of a barrier to communication, but I can see that there is a will among the younger generation to overcome this. I鈥檓 very happy that the British Embassy was able to support this project.
