On Wednesday, 12 March 2014 皇冠体育app Arab Partnership team from the British Embassy attended a discussion on 鈥減rofessionalism of media after June 30th events鈥�. 皇冠体育app roundtable was organised by the Media Diversity Institute in cooperation with Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies. 皇冠体育app roundtable, which was funded by the UK Arab Partnership Programme, evaluated the performance of the Egyptian media following the events of 30 June 2013, in light of the challenging political environment. 皇冠体育app discussion concluded with the formulation of a statement on the issue. 皇冠体育app roundtable was attended by media specialists, academics, human rights activists, and political parties advocate freedom of the media. This project is part of the Arab Partnership鈥檚 work to support citizens鈥� participation in Egypt through better media and civil society interaction. Freedom of expression is a cornerstone of democratic systems and also vital to generate the ideas and debates necessary for innovation and development.
