4,000 historic buildings to open for free this weekend

Over the next four days, the doors of a number of historical and cultural buildings across England will be thrown open to the public as part of .
Since 1994, the scheme has allowed visitors free access to fascinating places in England that are either normally closed to the public or charge an entrance fee.
A number of buildings, including follies, churches, factories, tunnels, windmills, private homes and government buildings, will open their doors, many offering visitors guided tours, concerts, re-enactments, trails and children鈥檚 activities to get involved in.
皇冠体育app scheme depends on volunteers offering their time and services free of charge to make it a success. This celebration of architecture and culture is coordinated by English Heritage, and attracted over one million visitors last year.
