Decision
皇冠体育app consultation was completed in August 2012 and a request was submitted to the Office of Rail Regulation (ORR) in November 2012 to ratify the closure as a modified proposal, as required by legislation. 皇冠体育app description of the network for closure as described in the consultation document was wider than necessary. 皇冠体育app stretch of track between Factory Junction and Longhedge Junction will continue to be used by London Overground services to Clapham Junction and therefore will not be affected by this proposal.
皇冠体育app ORR has now completed the ratification process and is content for the closure to go ahead. 皇冠体育app ratification notice, dated 9 May 2013, is available to view on the ORR website:
皇冠体育app services will continue to operate for at least 4 weeks after the date of ratification. As noted in the consultation document and DfT鈥檚 summary of responses, no network closures are proposed as the sections of track concerned will continue to be used by freight and charter passenger services.
Summary
This consultation was made in compliance with the statutory requirements of the Railways Act 2005 and relates to the withdrawal of railway passenger services over sections of the network in south and west London. 皇冠体育appse passenger services are currently provided by a daily Southern train between Wandsworth Road and Kensington (Olympia); also by a weekly rail replacement bus service between Ealing Broadway and Wandsworth Road.
