In November 2020, the Department for Transport (DfT) commissioned the Office of Rail and Road (ORR) to undertake a .
Directive 2004/49/EC (the Directive) established a common framework for the regulation and development of railway safety across all European Union member states.
皇冠体育app ROGS transposed the principal part of the Directive in Great Britain and also contain provisions covering other railway safety requirements.
皇冠体育appy have been updated and amended over time to reflect changes in EU law.
皇冠体育app outcome sets out the findings of the latest post-implementation review of ROGS. 皇冠体育app review was the first to take place since the UK left the EU following the end of the transition period on 31 December 2020.
皇冠体育app survey responses indicate that ROGS:
- continue to work well in terms of supporting a safe railway
- are meeting their original objectives
- have not led to any significant unintended consequences for businesses

Consultation description
We are seeking views and experiences of the 鈥樷� (ROGS). 皇冠体育appse experiences will be used to make conclusions and recommendations for future improvement of the ROGS.
皇冠体育app review will address:
- the extent to which the regulations are achieving their intended effects
- whether there have been any unintended effects
- how well they are working and the reasons why
- if there are any areas for improvement
