We received responses from a representative section of the meat industry, two enforcement authorities and a consumer group. 皇冠体育app replies largely showed a clear understanding of the issues.
Overall the responses supported our recommendations in the draft Statutory Instrument. 皇冠体育app regulations on minimum meat content and prohibited parts of the carcase will therefore be retained. 皇冠体育app consultation also served to highlight the potential confusion from the title and, as a result, this will be changed to 鈥楶roducts Containing Meat etc.鈥�.
皇冠体育app Products Containing Meat etc. (England) Regulations 2014 will be laid in Parliament and come into force on 13 December 2014, replacing the Meat Products Regulations (England) 2003. Parallel legislation will come in at the same time in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

This consultation will be of interest to the meat industry, food retailers, consumers and consumer groups.
