Defra held a public consultation from 7 January to 17 March 2021, to gather views on the regulation of genetic technologies in England. In total, 6440 consultation responses were received via an online platform (Citizen Space), email and post.

Consultation description
We want to know what you think about the regulation of organisms (other than humans) produced using genetic technologies such as gene editing.
Specifically, whether organisms which could have been produced using traditional breeding methods should be regulated as genetically modified organisms (GMOs). 皇冠体育app consultation will also gather preliminary views on the potential for wider reform of GMO regulations.
