Gloucester city centre’s £20 million regeneration

Three projects in Gloucester were allocated £20 million from the Levelling Up Fund.

Debenhams redevelopment

Plans for the funding include the redevelopment of the former Debenhams store on the corner of »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp Oxeblade and Northgate Street.

»Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp University of Gloucester’s plans for the building include:

  • an information centre for 4,700 students and up to 450 staff from the university
  • a digitally enabled public library
  • a drop-in wellbeing centre

Support for businesses

Funds are also allocated to support »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp Forge digital innovation and incubation centre. This hub will provide support to small and medium-sized businesses in the area.
