Payments are made only to meet the actual cost of continuing to fulfil public duties. 皇冠体育app costs are a reimbursement of incurred expenses for necessary office costs and secretarial costs arising from their special position in public life. 皇冠体育app Public Duty Cost Allowance amounted to 拢478,741 (2014-15: 拢216,355) and included: 皇冠体育app Rt Hon. Gordon Brown 鈥� 2015-16: 拢114,763 paid in respect of the 2015-16 allowance, and 拢10,632 paid in respect of the 2014-15 allowance, not accrued in 2014-15 (2014-15: 拢112,450 of which 拢101,818 accounted for in 2014-15 and 拢10,632 accounted for in 2015-16); Sir John Major 鈥� 2015-16: 拢115,000 (2014-15: 拢115,000).
