Summary:

During the first approach, the aircraft encountered what the pilot considered to be windshear so he applied full engine power and performed a go-around. During the second approach the aircraft encountered windshear in the same area, but the pilot was unable to arrest the rate of descent in time, leading to a heavy landing on the aircraft鈥檚 main landing gear. 皇冠体育app damage to the main boom was discovered after he had taxied the aircraft back to a hangar. 皇冠体育app pilot, wearing a four-point harness, sustained no injuries. He considered that the heavy landing was caused by applying insufficient engine power to arrest the rate of descent during the landing.
