Summary:

As the pilot rounded out and aligned the aircraft with the runway heading, the aircraft dropped suddenly and contacted the ground heavily just short of the runway, before bouncing back into the air. Inspection revealed a tyre mark 3 ft short of the runway, damage to two runway edge lights and structural damage to the aircraft.
