Summary:

皇冠体育app aircraft was attempting to land after a training flight aborted due to unsuitable weather. As the aircraft was about to touchdown it was subject to a gust of wind blowing it sideways across the runway. 皇冠体育app instructor, who was the handling pilot, attempted to go around, but on applying full power the nose gear struck the runway and collapsed. 皇冠体育app propeller then also struck the runway before the aircraft came to a halt with neither pilot receiving any injuries. 皇冠体育app crosswind at the time of landing was reported as 15 kt gusting up to 27 kt. 皇冠体育app aircraft has a maximum demonstrated cross wind capability of 17 kt.
