Summary:

皇冠体育app pilot had identified a suitable landing area in a large field and made a normal approach to his intended touch down point. 皇冠体育app surface wind was 6 to 10 mph and in order to minimise the dragging of the passenger basket across the field, the pilot used the red deflation line to rapidly deflate the envelope. On touchdown the pilot was ejected from the basket, which passed over him causing serious injuries. 皇冠体育app pilot restraint line which secures the pilot in the basket had not been connected to the pilot鈥檚 safety harness.
