Aeroprakt A22L Foxbat, G-CEWR

Summary:

Shortly after takeoff the pilot experienced 鈥渟evere vibration鈥� which lasted for about 30 seconds after which the rudder jammed in the neutral position. 皇冠体育app pilot was able to maintain control of the aircraft and landed back on the departure runway. 皇冠体育app vibration had been caused by a rudder 鈥榝lutter鈥� event which was caused by the seizure of the rudder anti-balance tab鈥檚 spring hinge. Two modifications have been developed by the Light Aircraft Association to prevent a recurrence.
